G-SHOCK Showcases MR-G Collection and Artist Collaboration at COUTURE 2025

DOVER, N.J., June 9, 2025 (V SHADES) — Consumer electronics company Casio America, Inc. showcased its G-SHOCK brand at COUTURE 2025, held June 4–8, 2025. The event marked the company’s continued push into the luxury timepiece market with its MR-G collection.

According to the company, the MR-G collection merges traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern engineering. Among the featured timepieces are the MRGB2100R-2A, MRGB2100B-1A, and MRGB2100D-1A, which incorporate kigumi design elements, a traditional Japanese woodworking technique that assembles structures without nails.

Also on display were the MRGB5000B-1 and MRGB5000D-1 models, described by Casio as combining the original G-SHOCK silhouette with premium materials including titanium, sapphire crystal, and Sallaz polishing.

The company also announced the debut of “Making Art with MR-G,” a new initiative involving artists who reinterpret MR-G designs through their creative disciplines. The first artist featured is Genta Ishizuka, who created a one-of-a-kind lacquer piece inspired by the MRGB2100B, a model constructed with COBARION®, a proprietary Japanese alloy four times harder than pure titanium.
