Johnnie Walker and Olivier Rousteing Launch Limited-Edition Couture Blend Whisky

LONDON, October 3, 2025 (V SHADES) – Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker has introduced The Couture Blend, its second collaboration with fashion designer Olivier Rousteing. According to the company, the limited-edition whisky, created under the Johnnie Walker Vault luxury platform, merges heritage Scotch craftsmanship with modern couture design.

The Couture Blend was crafted in the Johnnie Walker Vault in Edinburgh by Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker and marks a continuation of the brand’s blending artistry initiative launched earlier this year. The release coincides with Rousteing’s 40th birthday, incorporating whiskies aged 40 years or more alongside experimental and ghost whiskies from closed distilleries such as Port Dundas and Caledonian.

“I was inspired by Olivier’s story of progress over the last forty years, from his early self-discovery to his daring modern creativity. In this blend, I leaned into progressive and experimental whiskies from the past and present – whiskies that push boundaries just as Olivier does in couture. I chose rare malts from Roseisle matured in ex-wine casks for fruity tropical flavours, a spicy chocolate malt experiment from Teannich for tonka notes, and a ghost cask from Port Ellen for a unique cloak of smoke. Blending these with Johnnie Walker’s classic flavours has resulted in something singular which I hope captures Olivier’s spirit,” said Dr. Emma Walker.

The crystal decanter, featuring gold accents and a large square stopper, will be available in 1,500 individually numbered editions.
“I wanted to create something that captures the tension between minimalism and maximalism, sparking conversation and curiosity, anchored in the present yet futuristic and timeless. I loved the paradox of pure crystal and decadent gold, finishing the decanter with the oversized stopper. For such a unique whisky, blending old with new and traditional with experimental, it felt the perfect, unexpected piece of art to treasure. In every couture show, there is a look designed to take the viewers’ breath away – the signature of the collection. For me, The Couture Blend is just that,” said Olivier Rousteing.
The Couture Blend retails for $2,500 and will be available in select luxury retailers.
